1. Information We Collect
When you use EmploymentHubs, we collect the following information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, password (encrypted)
- KYC Documents: Government-issued ID (NIN, BVN, Passport, Driver's License, or Voter's Card) and selfie photos
- Profile Information: Work experience, education history, skills, salary expectations, location
- Job Activity: Jobs applied for, jobs posted, messages sent, match history
- Payment Information: Subscription plan, payment reference numbers (we do NOT store card details — Paystack handles all payment data)
- Communication Data: Messages sent through our chat system, WhatsApp message logs
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on site
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To verify your identity through KYC review
- To match you with relevant jobs or candidates using our AI engine
- To send you WhatsApp notifications about job matches, confirmations and reminders
- To process subscription payments through Paystack
- To calculate and pay affiliate commissions
- To prevent fraud through our employment confirmation system
- To improve our platform and AI matching algorithm
- To communicate platform updates, new features and promotions
3. KYC Documents & Identity Verification
Your identity documents (NIN, BVN, Passport, etc.) are:
- Stored in a protected directory that cannot be accessed directly via URL
- Reviewed only by authorised EmploymentHubs admin staff
- Never shared with employers, job seekers or any third parties
- Used solely to verify your identity and grant platform access
- Retained for the duration of your account and up to 2 years after deletion for legal compliance
4. WhatsApp Communications
By registering on EmploymentHubs and providing your phone number, you consent to receive WhatsApp messages from us for:
- Job match notifications
- Employment confirmation reminders
- KYC verification results
- Subscription and payment confirmations
- Platform alerts and important updates
You can opt out of non-essential WhatsApp messages by contacting us.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Paystack: Payment processing (name, email, amount only)
- WhatsApp API Provider: Phone number and message content for delivery
- OpenAI: Profile data for AI CV generation and job matching (anonymised where possible)
- Law Enforcement: If required by Nigerian law or court order
- Employers/Employees: Only your profile information and CV (NOT your KYC documents) are shared when you apply for a job or when an employer views your profile
6. Data Security
- All passwords are encrypted using bcrypt hashing (never stored in plain text)
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption)
- KYC files are stored in a protected server directory inaccessible from the web
- Database queries use prepared statements to prevent SQL injection
- API keys are stored server-side only and never exposed to the browser
7. Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data at any time through your dashboard
- Update your profile and account information
- Delete your account by contacting us at info@employmenthubs.com
- Object to processing of your data for marketing purposes
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
8. Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and improve your experience. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users via WhatsApp for significant changes.
